N2 - Allele frequencies for fifteen STR loci, D3S1358, TH01, D21S11, D18S51, D2S1338, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820, D16S539, CSF1PO, D19S433, vWA, D8S1179, TPOX and FGA, were investigated in a Filipino ethnic group resident in the United States and in the Philippines. Statistical evaluation of the data collected indicated the population to be in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium and therefore acceptable for calculations in forensic and family relatedness casework.
