Abstract

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect multiple organ systems. Hematologic manifestations are commonly identified in SLE, however, autoimmune hemolytic anemia is an uncommon hematologic complication which may result in severe illness requiring emergency intervention.
