Personal profile
Research Interests
The primary focus of my research group revolves around unraveling the intricate molecular mechanisms underlying chronic inflammation. Our ongoing project centers on identifying biomarkers associated with olfaction loss attributed to persistent nasal inflammation while concurrently investigating cell-cell interactions within individuals afflicted by chronic nasal inflammation. To achieve these objectives, we employ cutting-edge techniques such as whole RNA sequencing and single-cell RNA sequencing for biomarker discovery. Moreover, we utilize a combination of 3D cell culture models and human samples to gain a comprehensive understanding of the inflammatory processes involved. This multifaceted approach holds promise for advancing our understanding of chronic inflammation and its specific effects on olfaction, potentially leading to improved diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
