Research Opportunities with Dr. Deole
Research Area: Deole research lab is involved in molecular research of abiotic stress such as high salinity adaptations by microorganisms. Biotic stress adaptation involves production of antimicrobial peptides such as bacteriocins. These bacteriocins can be used for control of foodborne pathogens or multi-drug resistant pathogens. Time commitment would be about 20 hours a week for month of June and July. This will occur in Tulsa. Anticipated outcome would be a poster presented at a local meeting like OSU research day or Oklahoma Academy of Sciences meeting or national meeting like American Society of Microbiology.
