Educating and training first responders in Forensic Sciences in conjunction with professional duties, specifically those that conduct investigations involving in the areas: fire, explosives, firearms and toolmarks. Focusing on the safety of Hazardous Devices Bomb Technicians (HDBT), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Certified Explosive specialist, (CES) personnel through the research and testing of various tools and techniques used in the field.  Studying the effects of repetitive blast exposure effects on explosives personnel, including blast pressure wave effects on the body. Research concerning fire investigators and what they are exposed to at the post-fire scene and how they can be protected, specifically inhalation issues.
