Personal profile

Research Interests

Dr. Blewett works with herpesviruses, retroviruses, enteroviruses and bacteriophage and currently has two main projects. His laboratory characterizes pathogenic enteroviruses and testing compounds that inhibit viral growth. His team also clones genomic nucleic acids from bacterial viruses (bacteriophages) and characterizes the viruses.
