Dr. Amlaner is a professionally trained sleep disorders specialist and animal behaviorist. He holds a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford, England, in Zoology and Experimental Psychology. Dr. Amlaner is a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at OSU. He was head of the Animal Sleep Research Group for over 30 years, and has served as a departmental chairperson at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and Indiana State University, VP for Research and dean of the Graduate College at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, Chief Operating Officer of the KSU Research and Service Foundation, Inc., Commissioner of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, and Councilman on the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
