The research focuses on the integration of organic and medicinal chemistry to discover and develop novel therapeutics for pain management and substance use disorders. This work addresses the urgent need for more effective and safer treatments for pain and addiction by leveraging innovative methodologies. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the research aims to identify new compounds with potential therapeutic benefits, targeting pathways involved in pain signaling and addiction. The goal is to develop treatments that offer improved efficacy, reduced side effects, and a lower risk of dependence, ultimately advancing healthcare outcomes.
