Dr. Arun Raja is a distinguished synthetic organic and medicinal chemist with over 15 years of R&D experience across the USA, UK, Taiwan, and India. Currently, at the National Center for Wellness and Recovery (NCWR), Dr. Raja's innovative research work aimed at addressing the ongoing global opioid crisis. His work focuses on discovering safer alternatives to opioids for pain management, developing advanced medications for opioid use disorder, and creating more effective fentanyl reversal agents. By collaborating closely with neuroscientists and pharmacologists, Dr. Raja designs, synthesizes, and evaluates novel, potentially life-saving medications that prioritize safety, efficacy, and reduced dependency risks.
Dr. Raja has held prestigious research positions at institutions such as the University of Oxford, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and National Chung Cheng University, as well as global leaders in chemistry CROs, including Charles River Laboratories and Syngene International Limited. A recipient of the highly competitive Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship awarded by the European Commission during his tenure at the University of Oxford, Dr. Raja seamlessly integrates academic excellence with industrial expertise, driving significant advancements in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery.
