Research Opportunities with Dr. Rouch

Research Areas: 

1) Measuring blood pressure (BP) in mice to determine possible effects of drugs, diseases, diets, etc. on BP. Possible projects could include testing newly developed BP-reducing drugs, testing potential side effects relative to BP of other drugs, testing specific dietary constituents (e.g., salt, fat, protein, vitamins, etc.) on either increasing or decreasing BP

2) Evaluate status and effectiveness of clinical trials in nephrology. Currently, very few clinical trials in nephrology exist compared to other medical specialties. The focus here is to determine what is currently being researched in clinical nephrology, critically review the effectiveness of this research, determine what needs to be researched in this specialty so as to offer valid recommendations to funding agencies and anyone interested in conducting this res
